About Us

Jurong Christian Church Kindergarten (JCCK) has undergone a name change, and is now called David & Goliath Preschool (DGP).

Established since 1978, our Preschool has come a long way. With the completion of our childcare conversion in 2022, we celebrate many decades as an MOE-approved and registered preschool.

We began on the same premises of Jurong Christian Church (JCC) as a Children's Centre, and was later renamed to JCC Kindergarten.

Many 2nd generation children whose parents have attended our preschool continue to surprise our teachers when they talk about their parents being here many years ago. This fuels our desire to develop the current students and their future generations.

Our students are nurtured in a creative, stimulating and supportive environment led by a team of dedicated and loving professionals.

Healthy Preschool (Platinum)

April 2021 - March 2022

We have achieved Platinum Tier following HPB's guidelines. The Healthy Pre-school (HPS) Framework accredits pre-schools which have comprehensive school health promotion practices for students, parents and staff.

Below are the ABCs of the framework and the healthy meals we serve to children. Swipe left to view them:

Start Small, Dream Big

We were participants in the President's Challenge 2020 project and continue to support the project today.

The 2020 theme was ‘Journey Towards Graciousness’ taught the children the importance of contributing to the society as a whole, and also that no act of kindness is too small to give back to community.

This 2021, environmental sustainability, appreciating nature and practicing the 4Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Refuse) encourage our kindergarten participants to care for all living things and God's creation that surround us.

We were participants in this 2020 environmental curriculum.

The programme consists of environmental and public-health themed preschool activities that are incorporated into the core curriculum. Children learnt about 4Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse), energy efficiency, dengue prevention, and personal and toilet hygiene.

DGP was involved in a Sustainable SG initiative, NEA and South West Community Development Council.
Ixora Award

We achieved this award under the SEC-Starhub School Green Awards 2019.

This self-audited voluntary environmental programme serves as a platform for students to develop and showcase their environmental efforts and gain better understanding of the environment.

Schools were given tasks of completing an environmental audit questionnaire as well as participating in an outreach project that raises awareness or imbues green habits amongst fellow students or families.
